This
small studio is situated in the hills between Atascadero and Morro Bay.
There are valley views to the north and west.
The design was to provide a simple barn-like structure with a
sleeping loft and a high wall studio with northern light.
It features re-sawn plywood wall, exposed finished OSB flooring.
The northern facing glass wall consists of a large sliding panel,
opening the interior studio completely to the exterior.
French doors open onto a south west trellised deck cantilevered
over the hillside providing sensational views and lots of sun.
The roofing is corrugated metal.
